Marquette University’s online Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) offers the training and support to help you get there.
Designed with both flexibility and connection in mind, this CACREP-accredited program brings together students from diverse backgrounds who share a common goal: to be of service to others. You’ll gain the essential counseling skills needed to support individuals facing mental health challenges, engage in live skill-building sessions, receive guidance from supportive faculty mentors, and complete hands-on practicum and internship placements—wherever you’re located.

CACREP-accredited online CMHC Program
The online CMHC is fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The CACREP accreditation is a testament to Marquette University's commitment to excellence in counseling education, forming skilled, knowledgeable, and ethical counselors ready to meet the needs of diverse populations.
Build confidence through a clinically grounded curriculum
You’ll complete 15 core courses in foundational counseling areas–from psychopathology to multicultural counseling–plus practicum and internship experiences. If you choose the child and adolescent counseling specialization, your fieldwork and electives will focus on developmentally informed care.
